Fall in Texas? Yes, it does happen! And just in time for Hannah and Brandon’s engagement session at Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. Being from Houston, Hannah and Brandon really wanted a fall session, which is hard to come by, but it definitely showed up for them! It was so important to all of us that we not only captured their love (and Hannah’s beautiful ring!!), but also the gorgeous fall color!
We chose the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum because of the foliage and absolutely stunning scenery. It was a perfect day and backdrop for a dreamy fall session with striking colors, lots of open space and towering trees. All the ingredients for a little autumn magic! Hannah and Brandon chose two perfect outfits with a different vibe for each. A little dressed up and a little dressed down! I loved the balance of dressy and casual which allowed their personality to come out and make the pictures something that can be used in multiple ways down the road, like prints for their home, on a wedding website or save the dates. The outfit change provides options for all the pieces and parts!
The crisp air and light breeze made it the perfect fall day for Hannah and Brandon to play in the fallen leaves, cuddle up in the golden light and enjoy each other’s company. I love shooting engagement sessions because the excitement and joy is tangible through the photos. That feeling of a shared future on the horizon, the excitement about the big day, and the joy of just saying yes – it all comes together for really sweet and tender moments! These are also some of the first professional photos many couples have together and it’s truly an honor to be there for those monumental moments. Hannah and Brandon had so much fun just being together and you can really tell! I know these moments will be memories they have forever!
