It is always so sweet to work with clients who radiate love — not only between one another but among their family, friends, and anyone they come by. That absolutely was the case with Katelynn and Brandin, I mean seriously they are a photographer’s dream couple! I had such a great time capturing and witnessing Katelynn and Brandin’s wedding at The Aristide and have just loved reliving every moment as I flip through their photos. Katelynn and Brandin were so much fun and easy to work with, not to mention they’re a stunning couple! For their perfect day, they chose an incredibly stunning venue called The Aristide located in Mansfield, TX. It’s just a bit outside of Dallas and such a hidden gem! When I pulled up I seriously had to double-check my location… it did not feel like I was in Texas anymore! This venue felt like a romantic Italian villa.
The Aristide estate itself was absolutely stunning.
Faded brick wrapped around the walls of the home and you entered through two grand wooden doors; like the kind that you could imagine knocking on and hearing it echo for ages! It was hard to take in every detail, there were so many! The ceremony was held outside on a set of gorgeous stone and brick stairs under some delicately strung twinkle lights. the inside of the venue felt so homey and perfect for Katelynn and Brandin, they added personal touches all over!
I’m telling you, this wedding with beautiful and elegant dusty blue accents felt like it was pulled straight out of Pinterest! But, there was a whole lot more to this incredible day than the location and decor. I think they had one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed and it was just amazing. I mean, the happy tears were most definitely flowing! At one point I peeked over at Katelynn’s side and just saw her mom, grandma, and stepmom all crying… the ceremony hadn’t even started yet! Both Katelynn and Brandin are extremely family-oriented so it was clear that they are so loved, and that this day was important to everyone involved.
Ceremonies are of course a very important part of the wedding day, which is why I love capturing them so much!
And as a result, I was so happy to have captured Katelynn’s reaction as she walked down the aisle closer and closer to Brandin. We always hear about the groom’s reaction but brides experience very similar emotions! It was such an amazing moment to witness and document as Katelynn tried so hard to hold in those tears of joy.
Another extremely fun part of their day was actually at the ceremony itself! Unity ceremonies have the reputation of being a little “outdated” but Katelynn and Brandin mixed it up, literally! They blended their own whiskey together and had a super cute custom barrel to pour it into.
Katelynn and Brandin’s wedding was full of important details and personalized moments. Something I found super sweet was that Katelynn and her dad had planned a choreographed dance, everyone was clapping and cheering! It really started the party off right because the dance floor was an absolute hit throughout the night! Another very sweet detail was that during the cocktail hour they offered a coffee bar. Is that not the greatest idea ever!? Perfect for guests who don’t drink and want to still sip on a little something that’ll give them a boost for the dance floor!
The reception space was a grand ballroom with beautiful chandeliers, balconies, and lots of room to dance.
Katelynn and Brandin personalized the space with some custom “Mr & Mrs. Hyche” marquee letters and a fun white rose-covered wall photo booth backdrop with a custom neon sign! The night was wrapped up with a sparkler send-off and a final dance between just the bride and groom. I just adored every ounce of this wedding at The Aristide!
